 Sydney Mines has a proud history of baseball.We take great pride in our town, our volunteers,our hospitality and most of all our, Ramblers. As far back as people can remember Sydney Mines has been a baseball town. And nearly as long as there has been a Sydney Mines, baseball players from here have been known as Ramblers, they still are. Not only do Sydney Miners love their baseball.They also love their baseball traditions.In 2002 our Assocation joined Little League Canada and became Sydney Mines & District Little League which now offers a quality baseball experience to the children of all the Northside Communities and surrounding areas.Since then we have had the the honor of representing our Assocation and Nova Scotia District #1 at a number of Canadian Championships.In 2002, our Senior Little League Ramblers represented the Maritimes in St.Jerome,Quebec.In 2004 our Major Division team was the Maritime representative in Brassard, Quebec. In 2005 our Junior Ramblers played in the Canadian Championship in Glace Bay,Nova Scotia.Also in addition to our early success our Assocation was the host of the 2004 Cape Breton J.R and Buck Big League Ramblers who won the Canadian Big League Championship in Lanark Ontario and went on to represent Canada at the World Series in Easley,South Carolina.2006 was our first venture as hosts of a National Championship.It was one of the most successful Senior division Championships in little league history.In 2007 our Major Division Ramblers were crowned Maritime Champs, and traveled to Regina, Saskatchewan to compete in the National Championship.In 2008 we were proud host of the Canadian little league Championship.
